Tamlyn spent a decade on Broadway as a performer, holds a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan and an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University (thesis on how to parent a child with talent) and is a producer of the Broadway musical "THE OUTSIDERS." She turned her expertise into a thriving career as an advisor, mentor and coach, leading students into schools such as Yale, UCLA, Michigan, NYU, Penn State, Carnegie Mellon, Boston Conservatory, Elon, USC, Baldwin Wallace, Berkley School of Music and many more.

As a Broadway insider, with a passion for education, training and personal growth, Tamlyn understands how to match students with the right "fit school" for their individual needs and artistic goals. KARYN OVERSTREET VOCAL STUDIO

Karyn Overstreet is a Broadway-experienced vocal coach for a selected number of dedicated students striving for a BFA, BM, or BA in Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance. This boutique program, through private one-on-one lessons and workshops with professors from top BFA programs, strengthens the students’ skills. It also creates custom audition packages for singing prescreens and live auditions specifically tailored to professor preferences while highlighting individuals to stand out in the competition. No two students have the same songs or audition material. Enrollment is limited to 10-12 students per season. Karyn Overstreet Vocal Studio training will not only elevate audition, but overall artistic skills & readiness for the pursuit of college and/or a career in the performing arts
